    WOOO! Fun here we come!

  • Elijah

So excited! Started to read the Meek years ago, and I’m so happy you’re back with new content (and even more Meek coming soon? That’s amazing!) Also very glad you seem to be okay!

    Looking forward to see more!

Thanks so much! Yes I am doing much better now, due to the magical process that is channeling all your emotions into comics~

      Thank you for reading :]

OOOOOoooooo. *goes to look at news from Curiosity Rover for three hours*

  • Glew

Finding new comics early on is exciting because you get to be there for the early steps. But you also can’t binge read the great and engaging story in one sit … I feel conflicted ^^

    • shingworks

Haha, well, I will be updating 2x a week (until I am able to update faster). So hopefully will make the webcomics struggle a bit easier!

This is amazing so far, five pages and I’m completely absorbed.

  • Kastuk

    This is not Olympus Mons.

    • shingworks

Definitely not! Olympus has a footprint the size of Arizona, and is such low profile that it is impossible to see from the ground.

    • Vert

Fortunately Tharsis has a ton of volcanoes on it of all shapes and sizes. There’s even speculation that the entire plateau is one giant volcanic structure. My favorite, though, is the theory that the plateau was punched out by a massive impactor early in Mars’s history that also reshaped the *entire northern hemisphere* of the planet.

Anyway, no shortage of burned-out (probably) cinder cones on the Tharsis plateau. In fact the entire pictured landscape could be on the slopes of Olympus and there’d be almost no way you could tell from ground level.

I’ll have to find my source again, but I believe I’ve read that even Mars’s obliquity is influenced by the Tharsis region, since the volcano-supporting crust is so heavy there! Super cool.

  • I am so happy to see comics from you again. First 5 pages made me feel completely drawn to the main character. This project is something for me to feel excited about each day, and there is so much delight in that. Thank you for sharing your amazing work!

Also, I love how the pages start out really blue, and the warm tone breaks in at page 3.

Ahhh I am so excited to read this. The intro is really good! You’ve already caught me lol. Can’t wait to binge read this lol

    • shingworks

Thanks!! I like your username too lol, I had that mountain as my computer bg for like a year

  • Brekah

Already a great comic! I thoroughly enjoyed reading The Meek (always one of my favorites) and already love reading this. Your art is fantastic and the worlds and plots you build always keep me incredibly engaged. (Also I am obsessed with sci-fi and astronomy, so I was super jazzed when this went up!)

    You have incredible talent! :-D

  • GSMadder

Sweet jesus I am so excited for this comic. You rock <3

  • bryan

I’m so happy to see that you are drawing comics again, I started reading The Meek way back when it was new to the ‘net and I was really sad when it trailed off to nothing. I’m looking forward to reading both comics as they get going again!

  • SotiCoto
